Canadian carrier Porter Airlines has this week announced the addition of Los Angeles & San Francisco flights from Montreal.
This comes following the airline’s recent successes in the U.S t from it’s operations in Toronto.
Without further ado, let’s get into it…
The New Montreal-Los Angeles & San Francisco Flights…
Porter Airlines will now offer flights from Montreal (YUL) to Los Angeles (LAX) and San Francisco (SFO) on June 27 and 28 respectively.
LAX will be served on a four times per week basis, with SFO served on a three times per week basis.
These flights will be operated using their flagship Embraer E195-E2 aircraft.
As for the LAX flight, this will leave YUL at 1940 local time and arrive into LAX at 2236 local time.
The return will then depart at 0615 local time the next morning and arrive into YUL again at 1440 local time.
As for the San Francisco flight, this will depart at 2000 local time and arrive into Los Angeles at 2312 local time.
Furthermore, the return will then leave SFO at 0615 local time the next morning, and arrive into Montreal at 1440 local time, the same time as the Los Angeles flight.
Kevin Jackson, president, Porter Airlines had this to say on the new flights:

Growth is on the Mind of the Airline…
It remains growth is definitely on the mind of Porter Airlines at the moment, elevating to new heights.
Back in November, they purchased 25 more Embraer E195-E2 aircraft.
In that same period, they also inaugurated two new flights to Fort Lauderdale from Toronto & Ottawa.
In the theme of Los Angeles, Porter Airlines also inaugurated such flights from Toronto back in January.
Finally, just last week, the airline inaugurated flights to Las Vegas from Toronto as well.
It remains clear in this case that the U.S is turning into a very hot market for the airline at present.
The last three to four months have been a significant example of that.
With more aircraft on the way, we will no doubt see further expansion later down the line.
Overall…
It remains clear that the charge continues for Porter Airlines for significant growth, with San Francisco & Los Angeles from Montreal being an example of that.
Looking ahead, as the airline receives more aircraft, all eyes will be on what else they will unveil.
The end of 2023 coming into this year looks to be a significant turning point for the airline.
All eyes will be on how the rest of 2024 performs for the Canadian carrier.
