Ryanair has this week launched it’s extensive Summer schedule plans for Klagenfurt Airport in Austria.
The Irish low-cost carrier continues to grow in intensity around Europe.

The Ryanair Plan for Klagenfurt…
Ryanair has launched it’s 2024 Summer program for Klagenfurt in Austria, with three routes being:
- Alicante
- London
- Palma
14 weekly flights will be on offer for passengers in the area to book, supporting traffic growth to over 90,000 passengers per year.
As well as Klagenfurt, Austria traffic with Ryanair is expected to grow by 15% to seven million passengers.
Commenting on the start of the schedule out of the airport was the airline’s Andreas Gruber:
“Ryanair is pleased to announce the start of the Klagenfurt summer schedule with 14 weekly flights on 3 exciting routes to Alicante, London and Palma – all of which have developed phenomenally in the run-up to the summer season.
“While Ryanair continues to expand low-fare traffic for Austria this summer (by 15% to 7 million passengers), the state-subsidized AUA, owned by Lufthansa, has not achieved any significant growth since 2019 (just 1% ).”
“Ryanair’s 2024 summer flight schedule for Klagenfurt can now be booked at ryanair.com. We look forward to welcoming even more Carinthians on board the low-cost Ryanair flights to/from Klagenfurt in 2024.”
Adding to this was Maximilian Wildt, the Managing Director of Klagenfurt Airport:
“We are pleased that Ryanair is offering exciting destinations directly from Klagenfurt Airport.”
“In addition to the 10 weekly connections to and from the beach destinations of Palma de Mallorca and Alicante, there is also the ever-popular city break destination of London with 4 weekly flights in both directions.”
“We are pleased to be strengthening our collaboration with Ryanair and are confident that even more interesting destinations will be offered directly from Klagenfurt Airport in the near future.”
Growth Elsewhere By The Airline…
Away from Klagenfurt, Ryanair has continued to unveil growth for the Summer 2024 season.
In the last two weeks, the airline has made the following announcements:
- Expansion of flights from Berlin.
- Vienna expanded.
- Six new Summer routes added from Bristol.
- Five new flights out of Marseille, bringing the total to 62.
- New Bari-Katowice flights.
The Klagenfurt flights join the long list of significant announcements made by Ryanair in the last few weeks and months.
Overall…
In conclusion, the growth from Ryanair continues to grow at an explosive rate.
Summer 2024 travel demand is high all across Europe, which has facilitated the significant growth plans.
The Klagenfurt flights are a big example of this, and join a big list of new routes launched by the airline.
All eyes will be on what other expansion announcements will be made by the Irish low-cost carrier.
