Ryanair has this week launched new flights to Bari from Katowice, in what is being noted as significant for the area.
The Irish low-cost carrier launched operations between the two cities on April 16.

The New Katowice-Bari Flights…
The new flights between Katowice and Bari with Ryanair launched on April 16, 2024.
It is understood these flights will be serviced on a twice-weekly basis by the airline on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
Bari is one of 20 routes that the Irish low-cost carrier is operating from the Polish airport.
Other routes include the likes of Alicante, Malta, Rome Fiumicino and Zadar.
Commenting on this further was Alicja Wójcik-Gołębiowska Country Manager CEE & Baltics at Ryanair:
“Ryanair is pleased to officially launch our first connection from Katowice to Bari.”
“This exciting new route will operate twice a week during the summer season, offering our Polish customers even more choice at the lowest prices.”
Adding to this was Artur Tomasik, President of the Management Board of the Upper Silesian Aviation Society SA:
“Mid-April is the moment of development of the Ryanair base at Katowice Airport.”
“During this time, the airline will expand its base to three aircraft and launch five new routes from Pyrzowice, including to Bari, Italy.”
“In our opinion, the destination will be very popular, just like the other four new Ryanair routes from the Katowice airport, i.e. Alicante, Malta, Rome and Zadar.”
Continued Growth in the Last 2 Weeks…
Away from Bari & Katowice, Ryanair has continued to unveil growth for the Summer 2024 season.
In the last two weeks, the airline has made the following announcements:
- Expansion of flights from Berlin.
- Vienna expanded.
- Six new Summer routes added from Bristol.
- Five new flights out of Marseille, bringing the total to 62.
The Katowice-Bari flights join the long list of significant announcements made by Ryanair in the last few weeks and months.

In conclusion, the growth from Ryanair continues to grow at an explosive rate.
Summer 2024 travel demand is high all across Europe, which has facilitated the significant growth plans.
The Katowice-Bari flights are a big example of this, and join a big list of new routes launched by the airline.
