Earlier this week, STARLUX began it’s expansion of flights between San Francisco and Taipei, in boosted growth to the two cities.
Such an expansion has been significant, moving from thrice weekly to daily services now on offer.
Without further ado, let’s get into it…
Expanded San Francisco-Taipei Flights…
The flights between San Francisco and Taipei with STARLUX launched on December 16 last year.
Since then, the airline has received strong demand and has boosted services to daily from thrice weekly.
The scheduling for the flights are as follows:
- JX011 – DEP SFO 0040 ARR TPE 0530+1
- JX012 – DEP TPE 2330 ARR SFO 1915
STARLUX CEO Glenn Chai had this to say on the expansion of flights between San Francisco and Taipei:
“Given the current passenger demand, we’re excited to increase the frequency of our SFO-TPE route, solidifying our commitment to continued expansion in the US market.”
“Daily service, which starts March 20, will allow passengers to travel comfortably and conveniently to and from major cities in North America and Asia, with an easy transfer in Taipei”.
“Connecting through Taipei is an incredibly effective way to fly almost anywhere throughout Asia.”
Strong Performance by the Airline on the Route…
Over the last 12 months, STARLUX has been performing strong, both overseas and also closer to home in Taipei.
As well as operating daily flights to San Francisco now, the airline upgraded the Los Angeles flight to daily as well.
Closer to home, they also launched services between TPE and Kumamoto back in September too.
Services to Clark were also launched as well, which has seen strong success as well.
Continued growth is on the way in the years ahead, especially through a recent order made last month.
At the Singapore Airshow, they placed an order for three Airbus A330neos to boost passenger capacity.
STARLUX will also be entering the freighter market as well, with them ordering five A350 Freighters too.
As well as the daily boost for San Francisco-Taipei, the airline is definitely propelling themselves in the right direction.
Overall…
In conclusion, the addition of daily flights between San Francisco and Taipei reflects on overall messaging from STARLUX.
Demand is strong, and the routes they are targeting are performing well for them.
Looking ahead, all eyes will be on what other route additions and expanded frequencies will be revealed.
One thing is for certain though: The Taiwanese airline is performing extremely well.
