LONDON – Following on from its 20-year celebrations in Spain, Jet2 also announced an expansion of its Summer 2023 scheduling for Verona & Lake Garda.

The extension is from the Birmingham and Manchester bases it currently operates from, which will see twice-weekly services from Jet2 to Verona & Lake Garda all of the way through to October 2023.

Flights are expected to begin operation in early May 2023.

Steve Heapy, the CEO of Jet2 and Jet2holidays, commented on this expansion, stating the following:

“We are delighted to be extending the Summer 23 season to Verona and offering more flights and holidays to this popular destination until the end of October from Birmingham and Manchester Airports.”

“Last year, we announced the addition of Newcastle International to Verona as a new route for Summer 23, and following the positive response to this, we have now extended our presence in the region even further.”

“By working with the Italian government, hoteliers, and partners, we are able to put on more flights and bring even more holidaymakers to Verona and Lake Garda.”

“This is a region experiencing very strong demand. Given the assurance that customers get from our award-winning flights and ATOL-protected package holidays, we are very confident that these additional flights will prove extremely popular.”

Jet2 has been pressing ahead with its expansion plans for 2023 since the Summer 2022 season.

Heapy said the following about how significant the expansion is back in June 2022:

“As such, demand for city breaks is increasing for Summer 23, so we have responded to that by putting on sale an expanded City Breaks program for next summer, as well as announcing Athens and Rome as new city break destinations from London Stansted Airport and Verona as a new city break destination from Newcastle Airport.”

“The fact that we have increased capacity to city break destinations by more than 25 percent shows the confidence we have. As the UK’s largest operator of European city breaks, our selection of city breaks for Summer 23 offers fantastic choice and flexibility.”

“We are anticipating a very successful summer, as the appeal of booking with a trusted company that customers and independent travel agents can rely on is proving extremely important.”

Jet2 has even gone as far as beginning to announce its plans for Summer 2024, with 10 destinations on sale from six UK bases.

It remains clear that Jet2 is continuing its push ahead, and is even experiencing that much demand, that they were able to open up bookings for Summer 2024, which says a lot currently.

All eyes will be on the carrier to see if they announce any further additions to the Summer 2023 schedule, as there is still enough time to do so.

What we do know is that Jet2 is currently on a roll, with no end in sight, especially as we progress slowly through this decade.
