Executive Comments…

Commenting on the Summer 2023 program was Jet2 CEO Steve Heapy:

“Customers and independent travel agents have been telling us that people are looking ahead and booking a much-needed city break in the diary.”

“As such, demand for city breaks is increasing for Summer 23, so we have responded to that by putting on sale an expanded City Breaks program for next summer, as well as announcing Athens and Rome as new city break destinations from London Stansted Airport and Verona as a new city break destination from Newcastle Airport.”

“The fact that we have increased capacity to city break destinations by more than 25 percent shows the confidence we have. As the UK’s largest operator of European city breaks, our selection of city breaks for Summer 23 offers fantastic choice and flexibility.”

“We are anticipating a very successful summer, as the appeal of booking with a trusted company that customers and independent travel agents can rely on is proving extremely important.”

Overall…

It remains clear that Jet2 is definitely planning ahead in this respect. With a vast route network like that, it shows that success is definitely on the way.

Looking ahead, it will be interesting to see how the airline continues to fare in the Summer 2022 schedule, especially with its flight disruption being very minimal at present.

In comparison to the likes of TUI and easyJet, this is all free PR for Jet2, with consumers more likely to fly with them next year if they manage the situation well.
