AirAsia Cambodia (KT) has confirmed its upcoming launch, providing domestic air travel services to three key destinations within Cambodia.

The new carrier will operate into Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, and Sihanoukville, from 2 May 2024, with flights now available for booking.

Air Cambodia Operations Commence

AirAsia Cambodia will take to the skies on May 2nd, 2024, with two Airbus A320 aircraft stationed at Phnom Penh International Airport.

To celebrate their entry into the Cambodian market, AirAsia Cambodia is offering an attractive incentive. The airline will make 6,000 complimentary seats available for travel between May 2nd, 2024 and March 29th, 2025.

Booking a flight is a straightforward process. Customers can visit the main website, or use the AirAsia MOVE app (formerly known as the airasia Superapp) to secure their tickets.

AirAsia Cambodia prioritizes convenience by offering a variety of payment options through their primary payment gateway partner, Oriental Bank.

This includes support for major credit cards and KHQR, a popular mobile payment system in Cambodia.

AirAsia Cambodia’s reach will extend beyond domestic travel. An established international network allows for seamless connections to over 130 destinations across Asia and beyond.

This includes popular tourist spots like Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and Australia. Their hubs in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Bangkok, Thailand act as connection points, allowing seamless travel to over 130 destinations.

AirAsia Cambodia CEO Comments

Vissoth Nam, CEO of AirAsia Cambodia, expressed his satisfaction. “We are delighted to launch AirAsia Cambodia and contribute to the vibrant Cambodian aviation landscape.”

“As a local airline, we are committed to offering competitive fares throughout the Kingdom. This will not only enhance domestic connectivity but also encourage extended stays for travelers.”

“Our long-term vision is to transform air travel in Cambodia, making it an integral part of the national transportation network”

“We will achieve this by providing exceptional service, competitive pricing, and robust connections, beginning with these initial three destinations,” he said.

To commemorate the launch, the Cambodian carrier offers compelling fares. These will start at USD49 all-in for one-way flights.

Additionally, 6,000 complimentary seats will make air travel accessible for both local residents and international visitors. This will allow them to explore the wonders of Cambodia affordably, Nam explains.

“AirAsia Cambodia’s launch coincides perfectly with the significant growth witnessed in Cambodia’s air travel and tourism sectors,” continued Mr. Nam.
