Condor to lease six Airbus A320neo family aircraft from BOC

Global aircraft lessor BOC Aviation Limited has announced its acquisition of four cutting-edge Airbus A321neo and two innovative Airbus A320neo aircraft from the Airbus S.A.S.

The four narrowbody aircraft will be deployed on long-term leases to German leisure airline Condor Flugdienst GmbH (Condor).

The BOC-Condor Collaboration


Steven Townend, Deputy Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer at BOC Aviation, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration.

Townend noted the airline’s fleet development strategy, saying: “We are delighted to be working with Condor once again, supporting its fleet growth and renewal with these six latest technology aircraft.”

The acquisition of the additional Airbus A321neo and A320neo aircraft also aligns with BOC Aviation’s vision of sustained growth. These cutting-edge models solidify their position as industry leaders, with the benefits of operational efficiency and ‘greener’ operation.

Condor CFO Comments


Björn Walther, Chief Financial Officer at Condor, emphasized the significance of this collaboration, stating, “The successful deal with BOC Aviation Limited is another important step to become the operator of one of the most modern and efficient fleets in Europe.”

Delivery and Beyond


The Airbus A321neo and A320neo aircraft, slated for delivery in 2027 and 2028, bolster the German leisure carrier’s medium haul fleet assets.

Responding to demand in the medium haul network, Condor recently boosted its offerings, placing more focus on Mallorca for Summer 2024 by adding more flights from new locations.
