A Delta 767 aircraft bound for Detroit from Munich diverted to London Heathrow airport earlier today after a crew member became unwell.
Delta Air Lines flight DL23 was en route to Detroit (DTW) from Munich International Airport (MUC) when flight crew made the decision to divert.

According to the online source Flight Emergency, the unscheduled diversion by the Delta 767 to London was made after a crew member became unwell.
The flight was passing the southern coast of Ireland and preparing for the transatlantic crossing.
In response to the situation, the aircraft diverted and backtracked to London Heathrow Airport (LHR).

Flight data shows that Delta flight DL23 made an on-time departure out of Munich International Airport (MUC). At 1210 local time today, 28 June.
The flight then set course normally, climbing to flight level FL330 (33,000 feet) for the westerly long-haul service to Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW).
Flight crew did not declare the formal emergency. The aircraft carried out the subsequent unscheduled diversion to London under normal flight operating procedures.
The flight currently remains at Heathrow Airport. The Detroit-bound aircraft is set to depart for its continuing service later today.
The aircraft conducting today’s DL23 long-haul service to Detroit (DTW) is a Boeing 767-400, registered N829MH.
This is a 23.9-year-old wide-body aircraft belonging to the US carrier Delta Air Lines.
The aircraft has been in operational service with the airline since its initial delivery in August 2000.
