STARLUX Airlines expands North American presence with new San Francisco route

Taiwan-based luxury carrier STARLUX Airlines, will expand its North American presence with the addition of a new route between San Francisco and Taipei.

The announcement of the inauguration of its second North American route, connecting San Francisco and Taipei follows the recent increase in frequency on its Los Angeles-Taipei route to a daily service.

Taipei – San Francisco service


Starting from December 16, STARLUX Airlines will commence operations on the San Francisco to Taipei (SFO-TPE) route, initially offering three weekly flights.

The airline plans to ramp up its service to daily flights by the following March. This development aims to provide travelers with more convenient options for their journeys.

Glenn Chai, the CEO of STARLUX Airlines, spoke on the forthcoming expansion, stating, “With our daily Los Angeles-Taipei service and new San Francisco destination, STARLUX is thrilled to offer our U.S.-based passengers increased convenience traveling from North America to Asia.”

Grand Opening Celebration


To mark the grand opening of the SFO-TPE route, STARLUX Airlines has joined forces with Sony, a leading player in the audiovisual industry.

Starting from December 16th until December 31st, all First-Class passengers traveling from Taipei to San Francisco will receive a complimentary pair of Sony WH-1000XM5 wireless noise-canceling headphones, enhancing their in-flight entertainment experience.

First Class: Passengers can enjoy individual sliding doors and seats with a Zero G mode, designed to alleviate travel fatigue and ensure a comfortable journey.

Business Class: Business travelers can expect a premium experience with spacious seating and personalized service.

Premium Economy: Travelers in Premium Economy are treated to spacious seats with footrests, allowing them to stretch and relax during their journey.

Economy Class: STARLUX’s Economy Class features 4K high-definition screens and the option to connect personal Bluetooth headphones, making long-haul flights a breeze.
