IndiGo commences new service between Raipur and Goa

LONDON – IndiGo, India’s leading carrier, has commenced a new service between Goa and Raipur. At the same time, it has resumed its flight service from Kochi to Goa, effective January 7, 2023.

These flights are aimed at strengthening domestic connectivity and offering customers with increased flight options, to India’s favourite beach destinations.

Mr. Vinay Malhotra, Head Global Sales, IndiGo said, “As part of our mission to enhance accessibility, we have resumed flight operations between Kochi-Goa and introduced first frequency between Goa-Raipur.”

“We are hopeful that many customers will benefit with the introduction of these connections, especially during the peak season for beach destinations.”

Kochi, also known as Cochin, is one of Kerala’s most well-known cities. Popularly regarded as the Queen of the Arabian Sea, the city also has one of the world’s finest natural harbours and was the centre of the global spice trade for many centuries.

Fort Kochi, Hill Palace, Santa Cruz Cathedral Basilica, Mattancherry Palace, and Kochi’s backwaters are just a few of the notable tourist attractions that make Kochi famous.

Goa, on the other hand, is a well-known tourist destination in India. Goa offers some of the most beautiful beaches, casinos, and nightclubs in the country.

Furthermore, tourist attractions such as the Basilica of Bom Jesus, Aguada Fort, Immaculate Conception Church, Chapora Fort, Sinquerim Beach, Anjuna Beach, Calangute Beach Harvalem waterfalls, Morjim, Club Titos, Club Cubana, Candolim Beach Goa Safari Adventure Café Mambos are popular among both foreign and domestic tourists.

Raipur, Chhattisgarh’s capital city, is well-known for its religious attractions and scenic beauty. It is the most popular tourist destination in the state because of its old-school charm, monuments, and rich cultural history.

Raipur is also recognised for its thriving steel plants, over 200 steel mills, and a swarm of coal and aluminium industries.

These flights are designed to cater to business and leisure travellers who are constantly on the lookout for new and affordable flying options to access destinations which help in building businesses and are known for their tourist attractions.

Inaguration of Goa Mopa (GOX)


Last week IndiGo flight 6E 6145 became the commercial flight to land at the new airport, named as Manohar International Airport – Mopa (GOX).

The inaugural flight was operated direct from Hyderabad (HYD) to Manohar International Airport (MOX) in North Goa by an IndiGo Airbus A320.

It became the second airport in Goa which the carrier operates into. IndiGo continues to operate services into the South Goa airport of Goa Dabolim.
