Yesterday saw Edelweiss inaugurate it’s brand new service between Zurich and Bogota, with an onward flight to Cartagena.
It is understood that these flights will operate on a twice-weekly basis, and will remain operational until May next year.

Edelweiss Launches Zurich-Bogota-Cartagena Service…

In a statement, this is what Edelweiss had to say about this new route from Zurich to Bogota with the onward flight to Cartagena:
“The two new destinations Bogotá and Cartagena are ideal for exploring this country of contrasts on an impressive round trip.”
“In addition to an incredible number of cultural highlights, you can experience Caribbean sandy beaches, lush jungle landscapes, high mountain peaks and vibrant metropolises.”
The carrier continues it’s route network going into the Winter season, with the Zurich-Bogota-Cartagena service a good example of that.
In response to yet again increased demand for their North American services, Edelweiss Air is set to expand both Canadian destinations, Vancouver and Calgary.
Vancouver will be subject to an extended season with flights running from May through to October, with a daily service being operated during the height of their Summer 2024 season. Calgary will run between May until September and will see an increase from two weekly services to three weekly services.
Alongside the two Canadian destinations, the Swiss carrier will also double its services to Tampa, Florida, increasing to four weekly flights and a year-round service. Las Vegas Saturday service will also be returning with the third addition running through until Autumn, and, Denver will be served from June with three weekly services.
During Spring and Autumn 2024, Edelweiss Air will increase its Muscat, Oman services to two weekly as well as Phuket in Thailand. Cape Town, South Africa will be increased to three weekly.
All eyes will be on how Zurich-Bogota-Cartagena will perform, as well as whether there is scope to expand the service going into the future.
