This week Swiss carrier, Edelweiss Air revealed its Summer 2024 expanded international schedule with new destinations in Colombia.

Edelweiss Heads to Colombia

Starting things off, Edelweiss Air will be heading to two new destinations in Colombia, South America beginning in November 2023. This also marks Edelweiss Air’s first entry into the South American market.
The first new destination is the country’s capital city, Bogotá with the second destination in Colombia being Cartagena on the Northern coast.
The route is expected to be served by the carrier’s only widebody fleet, the Airbus A340-300. The Swiss carrier currently operates a total of five Airbus A340-300s.
Further International Expansions
In response to yet again increased demand for their North American services, Edelweiss Air is set to expand both Canadian destinations, Vancouver and Calgary.
Vancouver will be subject to an extended season with flights running from May through to October, with a daily service being operated during the height of their Summer 2024 season. Calgary will run between May until September and will see an increase from two weekly services to three weekly services.
Alongside the two Canadian destinations, the Swiss carrier will also double its services to Tampa, Florida, increasing to four weekly flights and a year-round service. Las Vegas Saturday service will also be returning with the third addition running through until Autumn, and, Denver will be served from June with three weekly services.
During Spring and Autumn 2024, Edelweiss Air will increase its Muscat, Oman services to two weekly as well as Phuket in Thailand. Cape Town, South Africa will be increased to three weekly.
