It has been reported that the American operator, Atlas Air, is in the advanced stages of negotiations with major manufacturers for a new aircraft order.

The U.S. operator is in these negotiations with both Airbus and Boeing for an order with either Airbus’ A350 Freighter or Boeing’s 777-8 Freighter.

Surfacing from Bloomberg, following an interview earlier this month with the carrier’s Chief Executive Officer, Michael Steen, in Hong Kong.

The new order is set to compliment the operator in the freight market as it sees a significant opportunity for growth.
