Braathens Regional Airlines and Austrian Airlines have this week announced a new wetleasing deal that will take place in the Summer 2024 season.
This marks a new relationship between the two sides, as many airlines get themselves ready for what is going to be a busy period in the year.

Braathens Regional Secures Wetlease Deal with Austrian Airlines…

It is understood that under the terms of the deal with Austrian Airlines & Braathens Regional, the Embraer E195 will be utilised the most, with some ATR services in the middle of it as well.

Austrian Airlines CCO Michael Trestl had this to say on the deal:
“On some regional routes, the demand has not fully returned after the pandemic.”
“To continue connecting these routes to our Vienna hub in the future, we need adjusted capacity structures.”
“I am pleased to have found a dedicated partner in Braathens Regional Airlines in this challenging segment”.
Adding to this was Ulrika Matsgård, CEO of Braathens Regional Airlines:
