Southern California’s Ontario International Airport (ONT) is gearing up for a record-breaking summer travel season. Predictions show that passenger traffic expected to soar by approximately 15% compared to last year.

This translates to a projected 2.2 million travelers gracing the halls of ONT between May 24th and September 2nd.

This surge in travel enthusiasm signifies two key trends. It shows a growing preference for ONT as a travel hub and a strategic expansion of air service to cater to this demand.

A Rising Star in Southern California

Atif Elkadi, CEO of the Ontario International Airport Authority gave comment on the surge in popularity. “We’re incredibly excited by the growing popularity of Ontario International Airport,” said Elkadi.

“Passengers can expect the same exceptional, hassle-free experience that has become synonymous with ONT.”

This rise in passenger volume can be attributed to several factors. Southern California, with its world-famous beaches, vibrant cities, and breathtaking natural landscapes, has always been a magnet for summer travelers.

Ontario International Airport, conveniently located in the Inland Empire region, offers a gateway to all this and more.

Additionally, ONT boasts a reputation for efficiency, ease of access, and a commitment to passenger comfort. It offers a welcome respite from the potential bustle of larger airports.
