On May 16, 2024, the Canadian operator Porter had commenced a new daily service between Ottawa and Winnipeg.

Porter: New Service Between Ottawa & Winnipeg
Further expanding their operations out of Ottawa, Porter has commenced a new daily service to Winnipeg. The service will be operated by the carrier’s Embraer E195-E2 aircraft.
The Canadian operator currently has 33 E195-E2s with a further 42 on order from the Brazilian manufacturer. Each aircraft has a total of 132 seats in a 2-2 configuration.
By this upcoming summer season, the operator will have 16 non-stop routes out of Ottawa. Not only this but passengers travelling from Winnipeg will be able to connect to the following destinations –
- Boston
- Charlottetown
- Fredericton
- Halifax
- Moncton
- New York
- Thunder Bay
- Toronto-Pearson
- Toronto-City
- St John’s

Firstly, commenting on their new Ottawa – Winnipeg service, Kevin Jackson, Porter Airlines’ President, says. “This summer, Porter is set to offer more daily flights from YOW than any other carrier.
