Earlier this week saw ITA Airways tease photos of its first Airbus A330neo seen in the paint shop.

The photos itself show the A330neo being painted in its iconic dark blue livery, but no photos of the livery with the airline’s title have been revealed yet:

ITA Airways’ Airbus Order…

The A330neos that the Italian airline is set to receive is part of an order placed in December 2021, when 28 aircraft were ordered.

This was broken down into seven A220s, 11 A320neos, and 10 A330neos.

At the time, Alfredo Altavilla, the Executive President of the airline, said the following on the order:

“Today, the strategic partnership with Airbus takes an important step forward with the finalization of the order we announced last September.”

“In addition to this agreement, possibilities for further collaboration have emerged, in particular regarding technological developments in the aviation sector and digitalization, where Airbus is the market leader.”

“All this is part of the actions to achieve our environmental sustainability objectives”.

Also commenting at the time of the order was Christian Scherer, Airbus’ sales chief:

“We are very proud to partner with [the airline] in building its long-term future with the most efficient, latest technology Airbus aircraft.”

“This agreement supports [the airline’s] business objectives to develop its network in Europe and internationally in the most sustainable way”.

It remains clear that, like with the other aircraft painted in the full blue livery, the carrier’s Airbus A330neo is going to come out looking incredible.

Such branding represents the journey of the rejuvenation of the Italian airline sector, with the carrier expected to make significant gains both from the long-haul and short-haul perspectives.

But for now, all eyes are ahead on the Italian airline receiving its first Airbus A330neo.
