LONDON – Gulfstream Aerospace Cooperation have completed the delivery of the 100th Gulfstream G600 aircraft. The latest G600 was outfitted at the Gulfstream Dallas completions centre and has been successfully handed over to a customer based in North America.

The state-of-the-art long-range private jet has been proven very successful over the years.

President of Gulfstream Aerospace Mark Burns spoke of the model’s success in the market, saying: “The G600 continues to redefine excellence.”

“Thanks to its highly customizable cabin, fuel-efficient design and exceptional performance capabilities, we are seeing relentless customer demand. The 100th G600 customer delivery is a testament to that excellence and surging popularity.”

About the G600

The G600 is a clean sheet design. The long-range machine can fly up to 6,600 nautical miles/12,223 kilometres at Mach 0.85 or 5,600 nm/10,371 km at Mach 0.90 and has one of the best fuel-efficiency grades for its class of private jet.

The G600 has marked numerous city pairs across the globe, ranging from Washington, D.C., to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in 11 hours and 40 minutes; Paris to Rio de Janeiro in 9 hours and 42 minutes; and London to Seattle in 8 hours and 40 minutes.

Nevertheless, the G600 flies at its maximum speed of Mach 0.90; this will deter the ability of the jet to fly at its maximum range.

With all being said, this explains why the G600 has been a hot-seller, as they connect city pairs around the world seamlessly, environmentally friendly and efficiently. Thanks to the aerodynamic design language of aircraft manufacturer Gulfstream.

Exceptional cabin design and comfort

The Gulfstream G600 is known globally for its iconic large oval windows, a design that has been certified by Gulfstream through ‘grandfather’ rights for decades. This design is still in use on nearly all new Gulfstream Aircraft, apart from the G280.

The G600 is a next-generation batch of Gulfstream products, known for its amazing, award-winning interior designs and luxurious ambience. According to Gulfstream, its cabin can be personalised in up to four living or ‘multi-purpose- areas, which can accommodate up to 19 passengers comfortably.

The interior comes with the Gulfstream Cabin Experience, with whisper-quiet noise levels, and a refreshing low-cabin altitude. 100% fresh air is purified by a plasma ionization, and abundant natural light is provided from its legendary oval windows – the largest in the industry to date.

Gulfstream is performing very well for its long-range to mid-range sized aircraft. The delivery of the G600 comes after the 100th delivery of its smaller sistership, the Gulfstream G500, which was concluded in the second half of last year (2020).

The G600 has been touted as a successor to the award-winning and one of the best-selling G550 aircraft. With its exceptional fuel efficiency and range, the aircraft is expected to be very popular if not already for private, corporate and Part 135 operators.

With the G500 and the G600 performing very well, the manufacturer is expected to have a fruitful year ahead and beyond.
