By October 2010, the aircraft was handed over to United Express post-merger and remained with the carrier until March 2019, when it was handed over to AeroVision International.
Lagos-based United Nigeria took delivery of the aircraft in November 2020.
It is understood that investigatory regulators in Nigeria will investigate the incident that happened at the airport.
Luckily, there were no injuries as a result of the incursion, with damage to the aircraft being minimal, offering strong chances that it can be repaired and brought back into the air again once maintenance has been completed.
For now, all eyes are on investigators for the full report into the runway excursion at Lagos Airport, Nigeria.
