LONDON – A TUIfly Nordic Boeing 737 MAX has just declared an emergency in the last few minutes whilst en route to Gothenburg.
TUIfly Nordic flight 284 has come from Lanzarote initially and has declared the 7700 general emergency squawk between the UK and Norway.
At this moment, it is unclear whether the aircraft will continue onwards to Gothenburg or not, as it depends on the emergency itself.
This is a developing story.
UPDATE #1 @ 1946 UK time – TUIfly Nordic Flight 284 appears to be heading north to Stavanger, Norway, as the diversion airport.
UPDATE #2 @ 1949 UK time – 6B284 now appears to be squawking a normal code. Emergency solved in-flight? Seems to be heading east now to Gothenburg. Will continue to monitor.
