A Smartavia Boeing 737-800 has been involved in a runway excursion incident on landing at Perm International Airport (PEE) in Bolshoye Savino, Russia.
Smartavia flight 5N583 St. Petersburg – Perm
The Smartavia Boeing 737-800, registered RA-73654 was operating as scheduled flight 5N583 from Saint Petersburg-Pulkovo Airport (LED).
Footage posted to social media shows that the narrowbody aircraft came to a stop in a grass area beyond the runway RWY21.

The flight was reported to be operating with 186 passengers and a crew complement of 6. No injuries have been reported to those onboard the flight.
Video footage shows ground crews towing the stricken aircraft from the grass area in snowy conditions. Weather at the time of landing was reported to be low cloud base, visibility of 4000 meters and forecast snow.
Today’s runway overshoot by Transavia is apparently the third runway excursion incident to take place at Perm International Airport this year.
