Eurowings flight EW6004 is a routine scheduled flight between Las Palmas and Hamburg, with the affected rotation being operated by D-AEWN.

As per data from Planespotters.net, D-AEWN is a 7.4 year old Airbus A320-214 that was delivered to the German carrier back in September 2016.

Of the A320ceo variant, the carrier has 35 of them in the fleet, of which 30 are in active service and five are parked, holding an average age of 13.0 years.

Eurowings flight EW6004 departed Las Palmas at 0912 local time on February 18 and proceeded on a northernly track towards Hamburg.

Everything in the flight was normal until the landing stage into HAM.

Reporting from The Aviation Herald states that the aircraft became disabled on landing, specifically in the roll out stage, with the aircraft then stopping on the runway as it lost speed.

From there, emergency services were dispatched to the aircraft in Hamburg that came from Las Palmas, with passengers evacuated as a precaution.

At the time of writing (21/2/24 @ 1515 UK time), D-AEWN remains on the ground in the German airport, with no indication into when it will be able to re-enter commercial service once again.
