UPDATE #1 @ 1350 UK time – The reason for the diversion appears to be extremely high winds in Casablanca, with the Emirates A380 from Dubai not being able to land in such conditions. Winds varying between 30 and 43 knots currently.

UPDATE #2 @ 1351 UK time – As per data from Planespotters, A6-EOZ is a 7.8 year old aircraft, which was first delivered to the airline back in May 2016.

UPDATE #3 @ 1353 UK time – EK751 has begun its descent from FL380, with Madrid Barajas looking the most likely diversion field for this flight.

UPDATE #4 @ 1356 UK time – Based on the weather conditions in Casablanca, it is most likely a sand storm that are causing these diversions.

UPDATE #5 @ 1400 UK time – EK751 passing through FL280 as it continues its descent into Madrid Barajas. Unclear when the aircraft will be able to head back to the Moroccan airport after its arrival.

UPDATE #6 @ 1420 UK time – EK751 is on finals into Madrid Barajas Airport following the decision to divert from Casablanca.

UPDATE #7 @ 1427 UK time – TOUCHDOWN! EK751 from Dubai has successfully completed its diversion into Madrid!
