Air Canada flight AC43, which suffered a bomb threat, is a routine scheduled flight between Delhi and Toronto.

The aircraft involved in the incident is suspected to be C-FNND.

As per data from Planespotters.net, C-FNND is a 16.4 year old Boeing 777-200LR that was delivered to the airline in February 2008.

Of the 777-200LR variant, Air Canada has six in their fleet.

Furthermore, of that six, all of them are in active service, with an average fleet age of 16.6 years.

As per AeroTime, it is understood that as AC43 was preparing to depart from Delhi bound for Toronto, a threat was made to the aircraft on June 4.

From there, the aircraft was sent to an isolation bay, where the entire aircraft was screened.

The police in the area said the following to media outlets:

“Following standard security protocols, a thorough inspection was conducted, and nothing suspicious was found”.

Following that, data from RadarBox shows that the AC43 rotation Delhi-Toronto was cancelled.

Furthermore, it is unclear whether any additional threats have been made to the airplane since the incident.

This is yet another incident following a chain of them that has happened in India where there have been false threats.

All eyes will be on whether anymore threats come through in the days and weeks ahead.
