American Airlines Flight 692’s Route…

The flight was being operated by one of American’s Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, having departed Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) at 11:14 local time this morning.

AA692 originally overflew Los Angeles and began its track across the Pacific Ocean towards the Hawaiian Islands before it was forced to return to the U.S. after the disruption broke out on board.

The American Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner eventually landed in Los Angeles at 11:43 am local time.

AA692 was being operated by a nearly four-year-old Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, which is registered as N841AN that was delivered brand-new to American Airlines back in February 2019.

At the time of writing, the aircraft is still on the ground in Los Angeles, with no indication of when the flight will continue its journey to Honolulu.

This is a developing story.
