Aircraft flying into Las Vegas airports for the 2023 National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE) will have access to sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).

Airplane owners, exhibitors, and operators will now have the ability to fuel their aircraft with sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) at Henderson Executive Airport (HND), North Las Vegas Airport (VGT) and Harry Reid International Airport (LAS).

NBAA 2023 Las Vegas

This is a crucial initiative as it aligns with the industry’s goal of achieving net-zero carbon emissions in many years to come.

This is considered a good move, to clean up the image of the aviation industry, which is often being painted as environmentally unfriendly and out of touch. The move proves otherwise – aviation can be green and sustainable.

The NBAA is slated to be held from October 17-19th at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) and Henderson Executive Airport (HND).

Despite the NBAA being held at Henderson Executive Airport, respective airports at North Las Vegas Airport (VGT) and Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) can help shave aviation carbon emissions by up to 80%.

World Fuel Services

World Fuel Services is expected to provide 40,000 gallons of fuel at HND. This is more than double the total SAF available at the airport for the show at NBAA’s 2021 event.

Moreover, World Fuel Service will also fuel at VGT for the very first time in lieu of the convention. Signature Aviation and Atlantic Aviation will have the supply available at Las Vegas Henry Reid Airport.

NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen said: “Providing SAF for aircraft departing from this year’s convention not only makes the event more sustainable but allows NBAA members to take an active role in helping the industry to achieve our net-zero target,”

What is the NBAA?
