Offshore Helicopter Services UK extends contract with Serica Energy

Offshore Helicopter Services U.K. (OHS UK) has signed a new multi-year contract extension with Serica Energy.

The five-year deal will see Serica use Airbus H175 and Sikorsky S-92 aircraft to service its current North Sea operations, in particular the Bruce platform. 

An Extended Partnership


The contract extension further forms the relationship between OHS UK and Serica Energy, extending their collaborative partnership beyond eight years.

The extension also highlights the confidence that Serica Energy places in OHS UK’s ability to provide outstanding operational and customer service in challenging market conditions.

Serica Energy has chosen the Airbus H175 and Sikorsky S-92 aircraft to support its North Sea operations, with a specific focus on servicing the Bruce platform.

A New Era Under Ultimate Aviation Group


Offshore Helicopter Services UK (OHS UK) is a helicopter operator providing transportation and search and rescue services to the UK’s energy industry.

The company was founded in 1999 and is headquartered in Aberdeen, Scotland. OHS UK has a fleet of over 40 helicopters, including Sikorsky S-92s, AgustaWestland AW139s, and Airbus Helicopters H175s.

The company operates from a number of bases in the UK, including Aberdeen, Sumburgh, and Esbjerg. OHS UK provides a variety of helicopter services, including:

Offshore transportation: OHS UK transports thousands of people to and from offshore oil and gas platforms every year.

Search and rescue: The company operates two specialist Search and Rescue helicopters, which are on-call 24/7 to provide assistance to people in distress in the North Sea.

Medical evacuation: OHS UK can provide medical evacuation services for people who need to be transported to hospital from offshore platforms or other remote locations.

Oil spill response: The operator can deploy helicopters to support oil spill response operations.

In January 2023, OHS UK was acquired by Ultimate Aviation Group, a South African headquartered international aviation business.

The acquisition is expected to strengthen OHS UK’s position as a leading provider of helicopter services to the UK’s energy industry.
