Fokker Services Asia, a subsidiary of the esteemed Fokker Services Group (FSG), has taken a giant leap forward by securing Part 145 Maintenance Organization Approval from the Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA).
This approval enables Fokker Services Asia to provide aircraft maintenance services for the Embraer E190 Series at their state-of-the-art Seletar Airport facilities in Singapore.
With this certification now in hand, FSG is now poised to offer an extensive array of services, including heavy maintenance, base maintenance, and lease transition services for Embraer E190 aircraft registered in Australia.
FSG can now provide comprehensive support to customers in Australia, not only for their Fokker and ATR aircraft but also for Embraer aircraft.
Tapping the Growing Embraer Market
With the Embraer E-Jet Family of aircraft gaining traction in the region, this certification isn’t just about expanding services.
It also comes as an opportunity for Fokker Services Asia to secure positioning with Embraer operators in the Asia Pacific region.
According to Thomas Kennedy, the Managing Director of Fokker Services Asia (Singapore), “Obtaining the new (E-190 Family) aircraft capability represents a great milestone in our company.”
“We are thankful to all our business partners for supporting the efforts to develop this capability on-time and on-target. This is a reflection of our team’s high level of engineering expertise at the core.”
“It also confirms our commitment to Alliance Airlines as a long-term business partner in supporting their fleets and our shared growth and success in the Australia region.”
The impact of this achievement extends beyond FSG. Scott McMillan, Managing Director of Alliance Airlines, recognizes the standing of FSG, stating,
“FSG’s unwavering commitment in securing this certification is commendable. We certainly are appreciative that FSG now has the capability to support our Fokker fleet as well as our fleet of Embraer E190 Series aircraft.”
“We’re excited about the possibilities ahead for both of our organizations,” he concludes.
