About Cirrus Aircraft

Originally founded in 1984, Cirrus Aircraft company is headquartered in Duluth, Minnesota and produces a range of single-engine piston aircraft and personal jets.

One of the most notable features of Cirrus Aircraft is its incorporation of a parachute system called the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS) into many of its planes.

The landmark innovation has become the first FAA-certified whole-airframe parachute safety system included as standard equipment on an aircraft.

This system allows the entire aircraft to be safely lowered to the ground in the event of an emergency, and has been credited with saving numerous lives over the years.

The manufacturer’s most popular model is the SR22, a single-engine piston airplane that has been in production since 2001.

The SR22 is known for its advanced avionics and safety features, as well as its speed and range capabilities. In addition to the SR22, Cirrus also produces the SR20 and the Vision Jet, which is a single-engine personal jet.
