BAA Training to acquire 48 Cessna Skyhawk aircraft

Textron Aviation has announced the firming of a major agreement with BAA Training, for the purchase of 48 Cessna Skyhawk aircraft. The new aircraft are to be delivered in 2026. 

This massive deal was inked at the recently held Dubai Air Show. This shows that BAA Training is committed to the growth of aviation and that it has chosen Textron Aviation for its reliability. 

BAA Training’s existing fleet will be expanded to offer greater capacity for students and also optimize scheduling for instructors. This will also enhance the overall training experience for students to be enhanced. 

The Cessna Skyhawk is designed and proudly manufactured by Textron Aviation Inc, which is a Textron Inc. company.

Chris Crow, vice president of Piston Sales spoke about the single engine Skyhawk, saying: “For over six decades, the Cessna Skyhawk has inspired the next generation of pilots and served as the world’s leading flight trainer.”

He added:  “We are delighted to continue the relationship with BAA Training to provide their students access to the most produced single-engine aircraft globally.”

The Cessna aircraft has a stable flight profile and is equipped with advanced avionics and demonstrated dispatch reliability of the Skyhawk, which makes it an unbeatable and dependable training aircraft. 

The new machines will be flown by students of BAA and will give them a good grounding before they fly real airlines or jets. The Skyhawkremains one of the most popular training aircraft available in the market today. 

Marijus Ravoitis, CEO, BAA Training stated: “BAA Training has set an ambitious milestone to achieve a capacity of 500-1000 students per year, necessitating a significant expansion of our fleet.”
