Aventure Aviation has acquired its twenty-first Boeing 737NG airframe for tear down. This 737-700 aircraft, MSN 30134, was delivered by Boeing to Canada’s WestJet Airlines in 2001, and has operated for WestJet its entire life.

The aircraft will be dismantled in Marana, Arizona, and piece parts will be relocated to Aventure’s Atlanta, Georgia headquarters.

From Canada to Arizona

The 737-700 aircraft, having completed operational life with WestJet was repositioned to Marana, Arizona, for dismantling.

This process will remove vital components, as these piece parts will then make their way to Aventure’s operation in Atlanta, Georgia.

Andrew Crombie, Aventure’s Director of Product Line, sheds light on the challenges faced in the current aviation landscape.

“Finding quality assets has become even more challenging,” remarks Crombie. He attributes this difficulty to a combination of record passenger travel and a supply chain grappling with the inability to manufacture new aircraft to replace the aging global fleet.

Leveraging a vast network of partners in the airline and leasing space, the company excels in acquiring in-demand aircraft, specifically targeting the 737NG series.

Teardown Solutions for Idle Aircraft

Aventure Aviation is actively engaged in discussions with owners, financial institutions, lessors, and airlines. The goal is to identify revenue-generating teardown solutions for idle aircraft, aligning with the company’s commitment to maximizing the value of every asset within its purview.

To further solidify its industry presence and engage with key stakeholders, Aventure Aviation will be attending Airline Economics’ Growth Frontiers Global from January 28–31 in Dublin, Ireland.

Representatives from Aventure will be on hand to discuss parts supply solutions with airlines and explore synergies with Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) shops.

This collaborative approach aims to facilitate the refurbishment of a significant number of parts that Aventure is outsourcing.
