ATSG completes a record month of freighter deliveries

Air Transport Services Group, a provider of medium wide-body aircraft leasing and contracted air transportation, has set a record by delivering an unprecedented six converted freighters under lease within a single month.

This remarkable feat by ATSG’s leasing subsidiary, Cargo Aircraft Management (CAM), marks a monumental stride in the world of cargo transportation.

The delivery of these converted freighters further solidifies ATSG’s dominance in the sector, having already delivered a total of nine this year.

A Showcase of Deliveries


The recent flurry of activity in the air cargo sector has been fueled by ATSG’s impressive achievements. In the past month alone, the company has successfully delivered a series of converted freighters, each secured under a seven-year lease agreement. These transformative aircraft deliveries include:

Two Airbus A321-200 for Raya Airways, Malaysia

Building on their existing relationship, ATSG delivered two state-of-the-art Airbus A321-200 aircraft to Raya Airways. This Malaysian operator also operates three Boeing 767-200 aircraft, all of which are leased from CAM.

Boeing 767-300 for Cargojet Airways, Canada

The successful lease of a Boeing 767-300 to Cargojet Airways in Mississauga, Canada, brings the carrier’s CAM-leased Boeing 767 freighter count to a total of four.

Boeing 767-300 for Georgian Airlines LLC, Georgia

Georgian Airlines LLC becomes a new customer for the service provider. A new lease saw the delivery of a Boeing 767-300 to this European operator based in Tbilisi, Georgia.

Boeing 767-300 for Amerijet International Airlines, USA

ATSG’s partnership with Amerijet International Airlines, headquartered in Miami, Florida, was further solidified with the delivery of a Boeing 767-300. This addition brings the total number of CAM-leased Boeing 767-300 freighters for Amerijet to an impressive ten.

Boeing 767-300 for SkyTaxi, Poland

In yet another significant move, ATSG’s global influence extended to Wroclaw, Poland, with the successful leasing of a Boeing 767-300 to SkyTaxi. This Polish operator currently leases two Boeing 767-200 freighters from CAM.

Global Success and Continued Expansion


Paul Chase, the Chief Commercial Officer of ATSG, expressed his satisfaction with these recent accomplishments: “We delivered six aircraft to operators in five countries in one month, demonstrating the success of our globalization strategy”

“The global demand for our medium-widebody converted freighter aircraft has remained strong due to the continued expansion of global express and e-commerce markets.”

“We are meeting this demand by continuing to deliver 767 converted freighters while also introducing A321 and A330 freighters to the market in 2023 and 2024 respectively.”
