Archer Aviation Inc. (NYSE: ACHR), a leader in electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, today announced two key hires who bring decades of additional aviation experience to the company.

Long-time private aviation executive, Miles Rogers, has joined Archer as its Senior Vice President, Head of Marketing, and Sterling Gerdes has joined Archer as its Product Lead for Vertiport Experiences.

Miles Rogers Takes the Marketing Helm

Archer’s marketing endeavors will see the addition of Miles Rogers, a veteran with two decades of experience in private aviation.

Rogers, renowned for his lead role as Chief Strategy Officer at Delta Air Lines-backed Wheels Up, is now at the forefront of Archer’s global marketing efforts.

Bold initiatives marked Rogers’ tenure at Wheels Up, where he steered the company towards becoming a household name.

Now, as Archer’s marketing head, he aims to position the company not just as a pioneer in eVTOL technology but as a transformative force in urban transportation.

Rogers envisions Archer’s Midnight eVTOL aircraft as more than a time-saving marvel. It’s a vehicle for altering perspectives on communities by providing a travel experience that opens doors to new opportunities.

Sterling Gerdes: Leading Vertiport Experiences

Sterling Gerdes, the new Product Lead for Vertiport Experiences at Archer, brings over seven years of expertise from Delta Air Lines.

His journey at Delta included spearheading Advanced Air Mobility strategies, making him a key player in the integration of eVTOL aircraft into operational frameworks.

Gerdes was drawn to Archer by its compelling vision and remarkable industry ascent.

“At Delta, I had the opportunity to interact with all of the major eVTOL aircraft manufacturers globally and decided to come to Archer because for me its vision and execution have driven the company’s impressive ascent to the top of the industry over the last few years,” said Gerdes.

Conclusion

Nikhil Goel, Archer’s Chief Commercial Officer, expresses enthusiasm for the new additions to the management team.

“Miles and Sterling bring the perfect mix of experience and skills to Archer’s management team as we accelerate towards commercialization in 2025,” said Goel.

“At Wheels Up, Miles pioneered key strategic initiatives to build the company into a well known brand.”

“At Delta Air Lines, Sterling oversaw the company’s early AAM strategy, with a focus on integrating eVTOL aircraft into its operations to upgrade a traveler’s home-to-airport experience. We couldn’t be more excited to have both leaders join the Archer team.”
