321 Precision Conversions has announced that the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) has validated the A321-200PCF freighter conversion STC ST02716SE as VSTC1084.

This latest national certification now paves the way for the operation of the most fuel-efficient A321-200 freighter conversions in the skies of China.

The first aircraft, MSN 1926, was inducted by SAID, with modification and maintenance performed by SMECO.

Anticipated to be redelivered to Sichuan Airlines in November, this marks a key moment for aviation in China. Sichuan Airlines is now set to become the first A321 freighter operator in the country, utilizing the 321 Precision Conversions modification.

The Pioneer in Chinese Cargo Aviation

Zach Young, Director of Sales and Marketing at 321 Precision Conversions, was upbeat as he shared his thoughts on the latest certification milestone for the company.

“We are thrilled to commemorate this achievement in the global certification process as the first A321 conversion STC to secure CAAC approval.”

“The CAAC has rigorously assessed and confirmed that our A321 cargo conversion fully complies with their stringent safety and technical certification standards.”

Superior Design for Enhanced Performance

The fully supported A321-200PCF freighter conversion has managed to exceed expectations by offering a remarkable configuration that includes (14) A-Code 88 x 125-inch main deck positions and (10) ULD positions in the lower hold when equipped.

What sets this conversion apart is its unique approach to optimizing the operating empty weight (OEW) instead of resorting to costly weight upgrades.

By eliminating the need for permanent ballast installation in the aft main deck, Precision Conversions has achieved numerous benefits, including lower fuel consumption, a reduced carbon footprint, a friendly center of gravity (CG), and a higher standard payload capacity.

Engine Flexibility

The 321 Precision Conversions STC is designed to cater to both V2500 and CFM engine variants, offering flexibility to operators in choosing the engine that best suits their needs.

This versatility extends to multiple thrust ratings, ensuring that cargo airlines have options to tailor the A321-200PCF to their specific requirements.

The CAAC certification becomes the latest for 321 Precision Conversions. In May this year, the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia validated the A321-200PCF freighter conversion STC (ST02716SE).
