11th Arab Aviation Summit: ‘Exploring the Future of Travel’

The 2024 edition of the Arab Aviation Summit (AAS), the region’s leading aviation and tourism industry event, will be held in Ras Al Khaimah from February 27 to 28 under the theme, ‘Exploring The Future of Travel’. 

Topics to be explored this year include the digital revolution reshaping the sector with a focus on integrating artificial intelligence (AI) in aviation and tourism.

Discussions on the industry’s commitment to a greener future will also revolve around ESG considerations, reducing carbon emissions, and the adoption of sustainable aviation fuels (SAF).

Setting the Stage: 11th Arab Aviation Summit

This year’s 11th Arab Aviation Summit (AAS) promises an exploration of groundbreaking concepts and disruptive technologies shaping the trajectory of aviation.

Under the theme, ‘Exploring the Future of Travel,’ this summit will see a gathering of industry leaders, innovators, and experts from across the globe to define the path forward for the aviation industry.

At the heart of the summit lies a series of captivating keynote addresses and interactive panel discussions.

Figures from both regional and global aviation and tourism sectors will take center stage, sharing insights and calling for new industry standards.

The overarching aim is to catalyse global change, drive innovation, investment, sustainability, and enhance passenger experiences in the industry.

Moreover, fostering leadership and innovation among the next generation, the Arab Youth Aviation and Travel Forum, in collaboration with Airbus and the World Sustainable Development Fund, will nurture dialogue and skill development among young professionals and entrepreneurs.

Through partnerships and mentorship opportunities, the forum aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry, fostering a culture of innovation and problem-solving.

Visionary Voices

The summit boasts an impressive lineup of speakers, including luminaries such as Julia Simpson, President & CEO of the World Travel & Tourism Council, and Abdul Wahab Teffaha, Secretary General of the Arab Air Carriers Organisation (AACO).

These visionary voices will delve into global trends and the evolving landscape of aviation in the Arab world.

Additionally, insights from industry veterans like Adel Al Ali, CEO of Air Arabia, and Tero Taskila, CEO of BEOND Airlines, promise invaluable perspectives on the transformative trends shaping the industry’s trajectory.

Panel Discussion on Airline Development

A focal point of the summit is the panel discussion on airline development and investments in the Arab world. Led by Tariq Al Ghaziri, Deputy CEO of AviLease, this session will explore the region’s emergence as a key player in global aviation.

Industry leaders including Mounir Kuzbari, Co-CEO of Novus Aviation Capital, and Firoz Tarapore, CEO of Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE), will delve into priorities and strategies driving growth in the region’s aviation hubs.

Moderated by Laura Mueller, Content Director and Aviation Finance Industry Chair at Airfinance Journal, this discussion promises insights into the future of aviation investments in the Arab world.

Amidst the summit’s offerings are immersive learning experiences, featuring case studies and real-world examples.

With 30 pre-registered participants per 90-minute Masterclass, attendees can expect in-depth analysis and actionable insights, empowering them to navigate the complexities of the aviation landscape with confidence.

Underpinning the summit’s success are strategic partnerships with organizations such as Airbus, CFM, Collins Aerospace, BEOND Airlines, and T3 Aviation Academy.
