A Wizzair flight operating between Krakow (KRK) and Barcelona (BCN) has declared a general emergency whilst inbound over the Mediterranean.
Wizzair flight W65047, an Airbus A321-200 registered HA-LTC, declared a general emergency, squawking 7700 in the cruise over the Mediterranean to the east of Barcelona.
The flight is presently on the inbound leg of the scheduled route, on a gradual descent through FL230 (22,000 feet). The nature of the emergency is not known.

The aircraft in question is Airbus A321-200 HA-LTC, a five-year old airframe.
The aircraft is currently approaching from the east, and descending through 3,000 feet to make the straight-in approach to Barcelona–El Prat Airport (BCN).

The flight, which departed from Krakow at 9.15AL local time was reportedly carrying 189 passengers and 6 crew members. The aircraft has subsequently made a safe landing in Barcelona at 10.15AM local.
The reason for the emergency declaration has not been disclosed by the airline.
