UPDATE #2 @ 2041 UK time – As per Planespotters, N832US, the MD-88 operating this flight, is currently aged at 32.6 years old.

UPDATE #3 @ 2042 UK time – UJ832 looks to be on the base leg for Lubbock, with no indication currently into what the emergency may be.

UPDATE #4 @ 2045 UK time – UJ832 from El Paso and originally bound for Louisville, is on final approach for its emergency landing into Lubbock.

UPDATE #5 @ 2049 UK time – TOUCHDOWN! USA Jet flight UJ832 appears to have successfully landed into Lubbock, as per data from @RadarBoxCom.

A bit more information about N832US: The aircraft started out life with Delta Air Lines in April 1991, and remained with the carrier until it was handed over to it’s new airline in April 2021, and was converted into a cargo frame in September that year.

Of the MD-88 variant, the airline has 11 of them, of which seven are in active service and four are parked, offering an average age of 33.1 years.
