Ural Airlines A320 from Moscow declares emergency

A Ural Airlines flight operating between Moscow and Kaliningrad has declared an emergency, squawking 7700.

Ural Airlines flight U675, an Airbus A320 operating from Moscow (DME) to Kaliningrad (KGD) declared a general emergency moments ago, and is currently executing a diversion.

Whilst the nature of the general emergency is yet unknown, flight data for U675 shows the flight had been cruising at 34,000 feet and is now on descent through 12,000 feet.

The aircraft in question is an Airbus A320-200, registered RA-73829; a 19 year old aircraft belonging to the carrier Ural Airlines.

The flight had departed from Moscow Domodedovo Airport (DME) on a regional service to Kaliningrad Khrabrovo Airport (KGD). before declaring the emergency whilst in the cruise.

With the flight now out of coverage in Russian airspace, we will continue to provide updates as they come to hand.
