In the last few moments, a UPS flight from Philadelphia to London Stansted has declared an emergency off the West Coast of the UK and has diverted to Cardiff.

The cargo flight is being operated by N329UP, a 24 year old Boeing 767 Freighter in the fleet.
At this stage, it is unclear what the cause of the emergency is.

UPDATE #1 @ 2059 UK time – At this moment in time, the aircraft is currently at 6,000 feet over the water, with the potential diversions being in the South West of the UK. More to follow shortly.

UPDATE #2 @ 2100 UK time – UPS flight 5X205 from Philadelphia to London Stansted is trailing anywhere between 3,700-4,200 feet and looks to be potentially setting up for Cardiff.
UPDATE #3 @ 2103 UK time – The aircraft is currently at 4,200 feet, with a ground speed of 370 knots at present. Still unclear what the nature of the emergency is.

UPDATE #4 @ 2104 UK time – Flight number has now changed to EGFF, so Cardiff is the confirmed diversion point for this UPS flight.
UPDATE #5 @ 2106 UK time – The UPS Boeing 767 Freighter is getting closer to Cardiff. Stay tuned for further updates.

UPDATE #6 @ 2108 UK time – UPS flight 5X205 is currently to the west of Cardiff Airport at 2,200 feet.
UPDATE #7 @ 2111 UK time – The aircraft looks to be on the base leg for Runway 30 at Cardiff Airport. Still at 2,200 feet.

UPDATE #8 @ 2112 UK time – Aircraft on final now.

UPDATE #9 @ 2115 UK time – UPS flight 5X205 from Philadelphia to London Stansted has appeared to have successfully landed into Cardiff Airport following its 7700 squawk transmission a few moments ago.
UPDATE #10 @ 2117 UK time – Aircraft is holding on the runway currently. Still unclear what the cause of the emergency is.

UPDATE #11 @ 2118 UK time – As per @JaanDutch, the cause of the emergency was down to losing computers as well as a burning smell & smoke in the cockpit.
UPDATE #12 @ 2121 UK time – The aircraft is now off the runway at Cardiff Airport and is taxing to the appropriate stands.
