TUI flight from London Luton declares emergency

A scheduled TUI Airways flight operating from London Luton airport to Lanzarote has declared a general emergency en route, and appears to be diverting to Nantes, France.

TUI flight BY5442, operated by Boeing 737-800 registered G-TAWC, from London Luton (LTN) to Lanzarote island (ACE) has declared a general emergency squawking 7700, and appears to be on diversion.

The flight has made good a diversion and approach to Nantes, France. The nature of the emergency is as yet unknown.
