UPDATE #1 @ 1202 UK time – Transavia flight HV6608 is rapidly descending into it’s diversion field of Nantes. It is unclear at this time what the cause of the emergency is for the Eindhoven-based flight that has come from Faro.

UPDATE #2 @ 1204 UK time – As per Planespotters, PH-HXM is a 5.7 year old Boeing 737-800 that was delivered to the carrier back in April 2018.

UPDATE #3 @ 1206 UK time – It is now unclear whether Nantes is the diversion field, as HV6608 is heading in the direction of La Rochelle at this time.

UPDATE #4 @ 1208 UK time – HV6608 is now turning towards Nantes Airport now, with that diversion field now confirmed for the Eindhoven-bound flight that started in Faro.

UPDATE #5 @ 1212 UK time – Transavia flight HV6608 is now on final approach into Nantes following the rapid descent during this emergency.

UPDATE #6 @ 1218 UK time – TOUCHDOWN! HV6608 has appeared to have touched down safely into Nantes following the emergency call made around 20-25 minutes ago. As soon as we have the cause for this emergency, we will update you in due course.
