In the last few moments, a Ryanair flight bound for London Stansted has declared an emergency not long after departure from Edinburgh.

G-RUKC is the aircraft operating the affected flight.

Turning onto Final at Edinburgh…

Ryanair UK flight RK1274 is about to turn onto finals at Edinburgh Airport.

It is unclear what the nature of the emergency is for the flight originally bound for London Stansted.

Not long after departure from Edinburgh, Ryanair UK flight RK1274 has safely landed back at it’s origin airport following an emergency declaration.

About G-RUKC…

As per Planespotters, G-RUKC is a 9.5 year old Boeing 737-800 that was delivered to the Irish carrier in October 2014.

It was handed over to the UK subsidiary of the airline a few years after delivery.

Furthermore, in the UK subsidiary, there are 14 Boeing 737-800s in the fleet.

Across the whole Ryanair Holdings Group, there are the following aircraft in the fleet:

  • 27 Airbus A320s.
  • 1 Boeing 737-700.
  • 410 Boeing 737-800s.
  • 145 Boeing 737 MAX 8s.

Furthermore, G-RUKC was the aircraft involved in the emergency on Ryanair flight RK1274 between Edinburgh and London Stansted.
