A Ryanair flight operating between Bologna and Brussels has declared an emergency, squawking transponder code 7700 enroute.
The flight, operating as FR3938 appears to be initiating a diversion. Updates will follow.

Diversion to Luxembourg
Having declared an emergency in the cruise en route to Brussels, Ryanair flight FR3938 is now diverting to Luxembourg.
The flight is currently in descent for the diversion airport. The nature of the problem prompting the expedited diversion is not yet known.

Having expedited a diversion and approach, Ryanair flight FR3938 has now landed at the alternate Luxembourg Airport (LUX).

This morning’s FR3938 flight service to Brussels South Charleroi Airport (CRL) made a departure out of Bologna (BLQ) at 10:17 local time.
The flight set course normally and had climbed to flight level FL340 (34,000 feet) for the regional service to CRL.
Flight crew initiated a course change and descent approaching Luxembourg, and squawked code 7700 in the descent, passing through 9,000 feet.
The aircraft operating today’s service was a Boeing 737-800, registered EI-EVR. This is an 11.8 year old narrowbody aircraft belonging to the carrier Ryanair.
It has been in operational service with the airline since its initial delivery in September 2012.
Cause: Smoke in the Galley…
It is understood the cause of the emergency was due to smoke being present in the galley.
