In the last few moments, a Ryanair flight between Barcelona and Edinburgh diverted to Manchester amid an emergency onboard.
The aircraft made a steep descent into the diversion airport of choice, with no indication into why as of yet.

FR6267 – Barcelona-Edinburgh: Manchester Diversion…
Ryanair flight FR6267 is a routine scheduled flight between Barcelona and Edinburgh.
The affected rotation, which diverted to Manchester, is registered as EI-HMY.
As per data from Planespotters.net, EI-HMY is a 1.9 year old Boeing 737 MAX 8 200 aircraft.
It was delivered to the airline back in June 2022.
Of the MAX 8 200 variant, Ryanair has 90 of them in the Irish subsidiary, of which all are in active service.
Furthermore, average fleet age for the type at the airline is at 1.7 years.
FR6267 departed Barcelona at 1226 local time this afternoon and initially proceeded north to Edinburgh.
Upon reaching the Nottingham area, the aircraft declared an emergency and proceeded to descend into Manchester.
Furthermore, Ryanair flight FR6267 landed without incident at around 13:25 UK time.
Medical-Related Incident…
@FlightEmergency on X mentioned that the reason for the emergency was medical-related.
At this stage, details surrounding the specifics are unclear, and typically are, unless something fatal has happened.
This means that Ryanair FR6267 from Barcelona will continue on to Edinburgh from Manchester in due course.
All eyes will be on when the aircraft departs. A safe landing into EDI is expected.
