A Lufthansa flight operating between Frankfurt and Dublin has declared an emergency whilst approaching the destination.
The flight, operated by an Airbus A321-200, is continuing under squawk code 7700.

Lufthansa flight LH976 declared an emergency with transponder code 7700 whilst on the approach into Dublin this morning.
The nature of the problem prompting the emergency declaration is not yet clear.

Having declared the emergency on the descent, flight LH976 is now in the final stages of its approach into Dublin, passing through 1,000 feet.
Landed Dublin (DUB)
Lufthansa flight LH976 inbound from Frankfurt has now landed at the destination airport of Dublin (DUB). The nature of the emergency is not yet known.
Flight crew declared the emergency whilst on the descent into Dublin earlier this morning. The aircraft had passed through FL290 (29,000 feet) when the emergency was declared.

Flight data shows that flight LH976 made an on-time departure from Frankfurt (FRA) today at 07:07 local time.
The flight then set course normally, climbing to FL360 (36,000 feet) for the service to Dublin, Ireland.
After transiting the mainland United Kingdom, flight crew selected transponder code 7700 as it approached Ireland.
Airbus A321-200 registered D-AIDD conducted this morning’s LH976 rotation from Frankfurt.
This is a 13.3 year old narrowbody aircraft belong to the carrier Lufthansa. It has been in service with the airline since February 2011.
