About D-AIVC: The Aircraft Operating LH474 Munich-Montreal…

D-AIVC, the aircraft involved in the emergency, is a 5.6 year old Airbus A350-900 that first started out life with Philippine Airlines in October 2018, as per Planespotters.

The aircraft was handed over to Lufthansa in March 2022.

Of the A350-900 variant, the German carrier has 24 in the fleet.

Furthermore, of that 24, all but two are in active service.

Average fleet age for the variant at the airline currently stands at 5.2 years.

TOUCHDOWN! LH474 has appeared to have touched down safely into Frankfurt following it’s emergency declaration during the climb out from MUC.
