A KLM scheduled flight operating from Amsterdam to São Paulo, Brazil has declared a general emergency whilst enroute over southern England.
KLM Flight KL791, operated by a Boeing 777-300ER registered PH-BVR has declared the general emergency, squawking 7700 over southern England, and is currently initiating a diversion.
Flight KL791 had departed Amsterdam (AMS) and was enroute to São Paulo (GRU) when it declared the emergency moments ago.

The aircraft is presently in the London Flight Information Region (FIR) maintaining FL170 (17,000 ft). It is unclear whether it will make a precautionary landing in London, or return to Amsterdam.
