Diversion to Birmingham BHX
The flight was transiting UK airspace to the north of Cardiff when it declared a general emergency and initiated the unscheduled diversion to Birmingham.
Flight data shows that the aircraft made a normal on-time departure out of Glasgow at 09:36 BST this morning.
The flight then established on southerly track for Alicante, climbing to cruising altitude of FL370 (37,000 feet), before declaring the emergency at 10:12 BST with transponder code 7700.
Approaching the south of Wales on flight plan track, flight U23107 then initiated a turn to the north-east to make good a diversion to BHX in the British midlands.
The nature of the emergency which warranted the diversion is not clear. The flight subsequently made a landing BHX at 10:30 BST.

The aircraft operating this morning’s flight was an Airbus A320-200, registered G-UZHL; a five-year old narrowbody belonging to the carrier easyJet.
Update 11:00 BST
It is understood that the cause of this morning’s diversion to Birmingham (BHX) was a medical emergency onboard flight U23107.
