An easyJet flight from Bristol to Palma De Mallorca has declared an emergency and is diverting to London.
easyJet flight U22709 declared the emergency with squawk code 7700 and is currently making good a diversion to London Gatwick.

The Palma De Mallorca-bound flight was enroute over England when it declared a general emergency. The aircraft then expedited a diversion to London Gatwick airport (LGW).

Flight U22709 is now landed and clear at the diversion airport London Gatwick. The nature of this morning’s emergency prompting the diversion is not yet known.
Flight data for this morning’s service shows the flight made an on-time departure out of Bristol International Airport (BRS). The flight made good a departure time of 06:10 BST.
Having made a normal departure, the flight then set course and was still in the climb when the emergency was declared.
The flight terminated climb at FL250 (25,000 feet), before flight crew transmitted code 7700 at 06:28 BST. This occurred just 18 minutes after departing Bristol.
Flight crew negotiated a course change and diversion into LGW, and landing was made at 06:50.
Airbus A320-214 G-EZWD
The aircraft conducting this morning’s U22709 rotation was an Airbus A320-214, registered G-EZWD.
This is an 11.7 year old narrowbody aircraft belonging to the carrier easyJet. It has remained in service with the carrier since its delivery in August 2012.
Headquartered at London Luton airport, easyJet is the second-largest budget airline in Europe by number of passengers carried, behind Ryanair. It operates domestic and international scheduled services on over 900 routes in more than 34 countries.
